Who we are

Pintail and getpintail.com are operated by SOULRISE LLC, a Florida limited liability company. I’m Kevin Hofmann, and I make Pintail. If you have a question about your data, write to us:

The app

Pintail connects to your coding agents through their hooks. When an agent finishes a reply, the hook stores it on your Mac, per terminal tab. When you ask Pintail to read it (or turn on automatic reading), it condenses the reply and speaks it.

• OpenRouter. The voice runs on your own OpenRouter account, with your key. The text to be spoken goes to OpenRouter and on to the voice provider. If you choose a cloud summarizer, the reply goes to OpenRouter too. OpenRouter’s own privacy policy applies to that; we never see it.
• Apple Intelligence. The default summarizer on macOS 26 runs on your Mac.
• Licenses and updates. Once Pintail is on sale, the app will check your license key with Lemon Squeezy’s license API (when you activate it, about once a month, and when you move it to another Mac) and check getpintail.com for updates. Neither check sends your replies.

This website

• Hosting. getpintail.com runs on Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel processes your IP address, browser and the pages you request to deliver the site and keep it secure, and keeps short-lived logs of it.
• Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, doesn’t follow you across sites and only shows us totals: page views, referrers, countries, devices.
• Cookies. We set none. The site remembers the duck you picked in your browser’s local storage (the key is pet). It never leaves your browser.
• Fonts. Served from getpintail.com itself. Your browser makes no request to Google.

The waitlist

If you join the list, we store your email address with Brevo, our email provider (a French company; your data stays in the EU). Along with it we store where you signed up (for example, the pricing page), the site that sent you, campaign tags in the link you followed, the first page you saw here, and, if you answered it, where you heard about Pintail.

You’ll get one email to confirm. Nothing is sent until you do. After that: one email when Pintail launches, and a few updates before. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to hello@soulrise.us to be removed. Unsubscribing stops the emails; ask us and we delete your address entirely.

Buying Pintail

Pintail isn’t on sale yet. When it is, Lemon Squeezy will be the merchant of record: it handles checkout, payment details, taxes, receipts and license keys. We receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, so we can support you. We never see your card details. Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy applies to the checkout.

Legal bases (GDPR)

• Your consent, for the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Performing our contract with you, for purchases and license keys.
• Our legitimate interest in running a secure website and knowing, in totals, how it’s used, for hosting logs and analytics.

Your rights

If you’re in the EU, the UK or a place with similar laws, you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to hello@soulrise.us. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist: until you unsubscribe, or until we close the list.
• Purchases: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Hosting logs: for the period Vercel keeps them.

Children

Pintail is a tool for developers. It isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top. If a change matters, people on the list hear about it.
